In her role, Kelly oversees the Legal and Compliance  Department, which is responsible for counseling staff on legal  and regulatory risks and requirements. This includes providing  subject matter expertise and monitoring and evaluating proposed and existing laws and regulations from the local, state, federal and international level that impact employment background screening.

Kelly also serves as Co-Chair of the Government Relations Committee for the National Association of Professional Background Screeners. An industry veteran, Kelly has also worked for several other background screening providers in legal and compliance capacity. Kelly is a licensed attorney in the state of Minnesota, having graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
